Funded Projects

We traditionally have raised funds in the past either by hosting a large Community Fundraiser or via an "annual appeal" mailing. BBEP is responsible for a number of large projects in our district which include:

• Installing a new floor in the old gym at the Bruno M. Ponterio Ridge Street School
• Financing the purchase of new computers for grades K-2
• Annual appropriations for additional enrichment programs such as art, dance and music
• Purchasing workout/training equipment and carpeting for exercise area
• Obtaining new scoreboards in both the high school and elementary school
• Getting a new curtain for the auditoriu, at the Bruno M. Ponterio Ridge Street School
• Financing the construction of the current playground at the Bruno M. Ponterio Ridge Street School
• Purchasing team player Blind Brook logo chairs
• Buying all equipment for the middle/high school track

This year we are excited to take the Enrichment program in a new direction. we will be concentrating on establishing an Endowment Fund for our school district which will be used to fund larger projects in the near future. Given the current economic conditions, we are hoping to raise funds and use the monies raised for projects that might have been funded in the past by the school's budget or funding from the state.

We are hoping that by establishing an endowment fund, we can contribute the monies raised to keep the school moving toward academic excellence.
