During the school year 2006-07, the Blind Brook UFSD's Professional Development Committee took on the task of evaluating the district’s current character education program. The task of conducting a preliminary study of character education in Blind Brook was a consequence of final report recommendations that emerged from the two-year curriculum mapping effort concluded the previous year. This preliminary Report on Character Education in Blind Brook Study of 2006-07 was submitted to the Board of Education in 2008 and informed the recent creation of the Middle States Accreditation Planning Committee's Action Plan for Character Education. The implementation of this plan will inform the district's goals over the next five years.
