International Walk to School is more than just getting together with children and going for a walk to school as a special event. This is certainly important, but the event's greater aim is to bring forth permanent change in communities across the globe. For the fourth year, the Bruno M. Ponterio Ridge Street School joined thousands of school children across the U.S.A. by walking to school on Wednesday, October 5, 2011

Annual Food Drive 2012 In poor economic times, we are all struggling to make ends meet. But those who are hit the hardest are families with children, with one or both parents unemployed or underemployed, seniors and others on fixed incomes. These are the many faces of the people who use our local food banks. Our Ridge Street Blue Birds joined the efforts of the Blind Brook Union Free School District in supporting NYSUT’s Annual Food Drive from January 16th to February 13th, supporting food pantries throughout Westchester.
