Welcome to the Blind Brook Department of Pupil Services!
Our mission is to support students with disabilities and their families to access special education, support services, and accommodations as per New York State and federal regulations. We also serve as a resource to teachers, administration, and the community to support any student or individual with any type of special need.
We are currently engaged in a hiring process to identify a new, full-time Assistant Director of Pupil Services. During this time of transition, we will continue the structure to provide more specialized support with Mr. Burg being the primary contact for the Middle School and High School with an office at the King Street Campus, and Ms. Farruggio, the part-time Interim Assistant Director of Pupil Services, being the primary contact for the Elementary School with an office at the Ridge Street Campus. Ms. Tunno will continue to serve as the part-time Committee on Preschool Special Education Chairperson, and Ms. Elkin will continue to serve as a part-time Section 504 and Committee on Special Education Chairperson.
Please feel free to reach out to us anytime if you have any questions or to share any good news on a Blind Brook student’s latest accomplishment!
