Language learners at BMPRSS engage in a variety of activities to help foster English language acquisition. This page highlights the hard work that students are doing in their standalone classes with ENL teachers Nicol Pirrazzi and Monique Pedersen. During these periods, teachers implement a variety of strategies that focus on developing the listening, speaking, reading and writing skills of their students. Check back often to see us in action!
Language learners at Ridge Street are off to a great start to the new school year.
Ms. Pirrazzi’s students have been working hard at stretching out their sentences to make them nice and juicy!
Ms. Pirrazzi and Mrs. Pedersen enjoyed their traditional “passing the torch” luncheon with 3rd grade ENL students. Ms. Pirrazzi works with students in grades K-2, while Mrs. Pedersen works with students in grades 3-5. This lunch provides a wonderful opportunity for 3rd graders to spend some quality time with their former ENL teacher and catch up on all the fun and exciting things that are happening this school year. Second grade teacher Anna Fagan also attends each year, to catch up with her former students. Pictured above are Gabriella Pauletti, Kylee Zhang, and Sana Moriya.
