Athletic Director Greg Warren recipient of the 2025 Bruce D. Whitehead Distinguished Service Award

Blind Brook’s Director of Health, Physical Education and Interscholastic Athletics, Greg Warren, is one of ten recipients from across the country to receive the 2025 Bruce D. Whitehead Distinguished Service Award from the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA). 

Mr. Warren will be joining fellow recipients at the 56th National Athletic Directors Conference, conducted jointly by the NIAAA and the NFHS. The celebration of the award recipients will take place on Monday, December 15, 2025, at the National Conference Awards Banquet.

Mr. Warren joined the Blind Brook community last spring.

Mr. Warren brought with him a wealth of experience in the areas of health, physical education and athletics. He held a similar position in the New Paltz Central School District since 2017 and was Coordinator of Athletics in the Bainbridge-Guilford Central School District for nine years before that. He has been an active member of both the New York State Athletic Administrators Association (NYSAAA) and the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (NYS AHPERD), where he served as president of its Council of Administrators for three years. 

He currently is a New York State Coordinator for the Leadership Training Institute (LTI), where he trains new Athletic Directors.

Gregory Warren appointed as new Director of Health, Physical Education & Interscholastic Athletics

Mr. Warren has a wealth of experience in the areas of health, physical education and athletics. He has held a similar position in the New Paltz Central School District since 2017 and was Coordinator of Athletics in the Bainbridge-Guilford Central School District for nine years before that. He has been an active member of both the New York State Athletic Administrators Association (NYSAAA) and the New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (NYS AHPERD), where he served as president of its Council of Administrators for three years. 

“I was really drawn to Blind Brook because of its strong commitment to students and academic excellence,” Mr. Warren said. These attributes were even more evident during the interview process and I am really excited to be part of the team at Blind Brook.”

Mr. Warren holds a Master of Education in Special Education with a focus on Adapted Physical Education from Coppin State University; an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Educational Leaders.

“I aim to foster a supportive environment that promotes both athletic and academic success. I look forward to working with the very innovative staff in the health and physical education departments to enhance student engagement, wellness, and learning. I also look forward to working with staff, students, and the community to increase student wellness,” he said.

Congratulations to our student athletes Victor Lopez and Nicolas Palacios! The two signed their college letters of intent in a special ceremony last week. In the fall, Victor Lopez will be attending Gettysburgh and will play Tennis. His classmate, Nicolas, will be attending Franklin and Marshall College and play Soccer!
