RESPONSIBILITY AND CHARGE OF THE COUNCIL
The Technology Advisory Council (TAC) is a strategic group that provides input and feedback on matters relating to technology planning, implementation and innovation. Members of the council may include District staff, community members, Board of Education members and students. Discussion will be rooted in ensuring technology decisions are educationally sound, fiscally responsible and future focused which will result in enhancing student learning, staff effectiveness and district operations.
Potential areas of focus:
- Alignment of technology initiatives with the District Strategic Plan of Action
- Advise on budgeting priorities for areas such as infrastructure, devices, software and support
- Encourage innovative and effective technology use
- Promote responsible, ethical and safe technology use by students and staff
- Monitor progress of technology initiatives
