School facilities are the property of the Blind Brook School District, supported by the citizens of the community, and the schools are an integral part of the community in terms of its intellectual and social expression and development. Because of that, the Board of Education wishes to do all that is possible to make the schools available to the community for educational and recreational purposes, consistent with the provisions of the New York State Education Law. The policy below is intended to identify the uses that community groups may make of district facilities.
