In accordance with Federal law, the Blind Brook School District complies with requests by Military Recruiters for names, addresses, and telephone listings of eligible students. Eligible student under ESEA and the National Defense Authorization Act is defined as a secondary student who is seventeen (17) years of age or older or in the eleventh grade (or its equivalent) or higher. 

Regarding military recruiters, parents have the right to request, in writing, that the district not release the student's name, address, and telephone listing to military recruiters. To do so, contact Colin Byrne at cbyrne@blindbrook.org. If a general request not to share this information has been made with the school district, that request will apply to Military Recruiters as well.
