Seventh Grade Students Bring Poetry To RSS Student's Day

The seventh grade students at the Blind Brook Middle School took a trip back to the Bruno M. Ponterio Ridge Street School to share their poetry. This project, created and led by Blind Brook Middle School English Language Arts teachers Lisa Fellin and Abby Schwittek, saw the seventh grade students partner up with fifth grade "poetry pals" to do some collaborative poetry writing. The fourth grade then joined in to see the seventh grade student perform a poetry slam where the students read their poetry to the group. Interscholastic events such as this are a great learning tool for the older and younger students. A great deal of thanks go to everyone involved in coordinating this including Mrs. Fellin, Mrs. Schwittek, the Fourth Grade and Fifth Grade teachers, Patricia Lambert and Tracy Taylor for making this event happen! Photos from the event can be seen below.
