Blind Brook Students Perform Well At The Destination Imagination Global Finals

Teams of students from the Blind Brook Middle School and Bruno M. Ponterio Ridge Street School competed in the 2019 Destination Imagination Global Finals. This event which took place from May 22nd to May 25th in Kansas City, MO, saw more than 1,400 of the top scoring teams from the United States as well as over 14 other countries compete in various challenges. Blind Brook had four teams compete at the event. The results for each team are listed below.

The Blind Brook Middle School 7th Grade Team - Mustache Maniacs - tied for 16th place with a team from South Korea in their “Medical Mystery Challenge.”  There were 79 teams in total who competed in this Middle Level Challenge. They received 92 out of 100 points for their Instant Challenge score.

The Blind Brook Middle School 8th Grade Team - start to finish 5.0 - tied for 15th place with a team from Ohio in their “Monster Effects.”  There were 71 teams in total who competed in this Middle Level Challenge. They received 97 out of 100 points for their Instant Challenge score.

The Bruno M. Ponterio Ridge Street School 6th Grade Team - Out of the Boxers - tied for 18th place with teams from Ohio and China in their “Game On Challenge.”  There were 77 teams in total who competed in this Elementary Level Challenge. They received 82 out of 100 points for their Instant Challenge score.

The Blind Brook Middle School 6th Grade Team - 6 DIamonds in the Sky - tied for 51st place with teams from Maryland and South Dakota in their “Game On Challenge.”  There were 84 teams in total who competed in this Middle Level Challenge. They received 74 out of 100 points for their Instant Challenge score.
